Lars Beyer

Lars Beyer, born 1965, trained as still photographer while studying fine arts (1983-1987). Working for Carlsberg, Oriflame and B&O (1987-1988). Cinematographer at the Danish Film Institute Workshop (1988-1992). Educated as director of cinematography (DP) at the National Danish Film School (1993-1997). DP on sci-fi film Webmaster (1998) by Thomas Borch Nielsen, nominated a "Robert" for best cinematography. Co-director of the documentary An Experience Less Jørgen Haugen Sørensen (1993). Camera assistant on Haïti. Untitled (1996) by Jørgen Leth. Supervisor in digital cinematography at the Film School and the Film Workshop. The assignment as DP & on-line editor on 8-hour long The Wake turned out to be a tremendous artistic challenge lasting nearly 16 months.
